How to make pumpkin bread


00 flour 500 g, raw and cleaned pumpkin 400 g, brewer’s yeast 4 g, room temperature water about 100 g, salt 2 teaspoons, extra virgin olive oil, pumpkin seeds, nutmeg and cinnamon to taste.

Clean the pumpkin, remove the seeds. Cut the pumpkin into cubes, puree it in the blender, then steam it, and to make it quicker, microwave it until you get a soft mush that you are going to incorporate into the flour mixture, which will make the mixture acquire its typical orange color.

Dissolve the yeast in tempered water ( not too hot).

Sift the flour, add the warm yeast, add a little nutmeg that you have previously grated, mix well.

Meanwhile, after getting the pumpkin mush soft, in the oven or microwave, preheat the oven to 170 degrees C.

Proceed by greasing the baking pan ( your choice, round or rectangular) with a drop of oil, dust it with flour.

At this point put it in the oven.

If you would like to add a touch of originality, proceed the recipe with a second bowl in which you will whisk sugar and butter together ( or in a planetary mixer), add one or two eggs ( whole) continue mixing and add the mixture to the previous one.

Bake and bake your sweet pumpkin bread for about 60 minutes.
